Laurent Poiron is a graduate of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Ingénieurs en Informatique et Mathématiques Appliquées de Grenoble (ENSIMAG - French School of Engineering in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics) and holds a Master's Degree in International Finance from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC - French Business School).
After starting his career in Germany with Société Générale, he joined BNP Paribas, where he held several positions, mainly in the international arena (England, Western Europe, Central Europe, Russia, India), notably as Managing Director, or country or regional head.
Today, he is Chief Executive Officer of Fidor Bank in Germany, on behalf of BPCE group.
Laurent Poiron's area of expertise, in addition to investment banking, covers more broadly the financial services sector.
He also co-founded Alpes Premium, a company offering luxury concierge services in the French Alps.
As of September 1, 2022, Laurent Poiron is appointed Director of RCI Banque and Chairman of its Nomination and Compensation Committees.
