Nathalie Riez-Thiollet is a lawyer by training and has a post-graduate diploma in Public Finances from the Université Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne, and a post-graduate diploma in Business Law and Taxation from the Université Paris 2 Assas. She completed the Executive Program at HEC and is a graduate of the International Directors Program at the INSEAD.
After starting her career at Deloitte (Taj), in 1994 she became Head of the Capital Market Activity Legal Department at Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations.
In 1999, when it became mandatory for French credit institutions to have an ethics function, she became Head of Ethics for Corporate Banking Activities at Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations.
In 2002, she joined US Group JPMorgan Chase as Head of Compliance for Corporate Banking and Private Banking activities in France, then a few months later she expanded the scope of her responsibilities to Belgium and the Netherlands and became the coordinator of the compliance function for Continental Europe (EMEA ex UK).
